Permanently disbanded -- so I am feeling melancholy about that. But your piece reminded me of my favourite folk fest shirt / slogan of all time: "Real music in a sea of shit!". I'm so sad about the demise of the Folk Festival, too - we saw so many great shows watching the sunset over the ocean at Jericho! But... great shirt! Six Shooter Records had a tag line in a similar vein - "Life's Too Short For Shitty Music" :-). And YES YES YES re: Nick Cave - Jenny Ouano sent it to me yesterday and I absolutely love it. Thanks so much for this! (Also... let me know if anything awesome has "earned your attention" recently - you are a great curator and I bet you have some good stuff!)
